Hace a\u00f1os me pas\u00f3 algo que cambi\u00f3 mi vida para siempre. D\u00e9jame contarte mi historia.<\/p>\n

Como leer\u00e1, mi historia de la quiropr\u00e1ctica no es accidental. Es una historia muy personal de mi viaje desde el dolor, el miedo y la indecisi\u00f3n hasta el alivio, el bienestar y la felicidad definitivos.<\/p>\n

En el d\u00e9cimo grado, jugu\u00e9 f\u00fatbol americano en St. James High School en las posiciones de fullback y linebacker. Mientras jugaba en el juego de campeonato del \u00e1rea, bloque\u00e9 a alguien, tal como siempre lo hab\u00eda hecho en todos los otros juegos de esa temporada. Pero durante esa jugada en particular, tuve un dolor agudo en el cuello. Sin embargo, lo super\u00e9 porque era duro. JAJA. \u00a1Es m\u00e1s est\u00fapido!<\/p>\n

Al principio el dolor y la incomodidad eran horribles. No pod\u00eda dormir en una almohada. Ten\u00eda problemas para mover el cuello y, lo que es peor, me dol\u00eda levantarme de la cama. El intenso dolor se prolong\u00f3 durante semanas. Despu\u00e9s de unos meses, la mayor parte del dolor hab\u00eda desaparecido, as\u00ed que trat\u00e9 de participar en los ejercicios de entrenamiento de primavera. Un golpe y estaba en la misma cantidad de dolor e incomodidad que experiment\u00e9 al principio. Fue angustioso: acababa de empezar a recibir cartas de las universidades sobre sus programas de f\u00fatbol y no pod\u00eda manejar ni un solo golpe.<\/p>\n

Mi padre decidi\u00f3 llevarme a un ortopedista. Una resonancia magn\u00e9tica encontr\u00f3 un disco abultado en la regi\u00f3n cervical de mi columna vertebral. Me refirieron a un neur\u00f3logo que me dijo que deber\u00eda probar la fisioterapia y ver qu\u00e9 pasaba antes de pensar en la cirug\u00eda. Preguntamos por qu\u00e9 el disco estaba abultado y el m\u00e9dico nos dijo que era posible que naciera as\u00ed. Sab\u00eda que no hab\u00eda forma de que naciera con eso. Mi padre pregunt\u00f3 si estaba bien ir a un quiropr\u00e1ctico. El neur\u00f3logo dijo que s\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Al principio, ten\u00eda miedo. Pens\u00e9 que podr\u00eda romperme el cuello. Mi padre me dijo que no me preocupara, que todo terminar\u00eda antes de que me diera cuenta. El quiropr\u00e1ctico (Dr. Jones Montgomery, AL) tom\u00f3 radiograf\u00edas y mir\u00f3 la resonancia magn\u00e9tica y encontr\u00f3 d\u00f3nde estaba el problema en la pel\u00edcula. Despu\u00e9s del primer ajuste, ten\u00eda mejor movimiento en el cuello y no me dol\u00eda tanto. Hab\u00eda estado en tanto dolor e incomodidad, durante meses. \u00a1Ahora, despu\u00e9s de unos diez tratamientos, no sent\u00ed dolor y pude mover mi cuello normalmente!
